I've been coming to Ruscello for years now as it's a convenient place to meet friends for a dinner that's (relatively) affordable for the (relatively) upscale ambiance it has. It's located on the top floor of Nordstrom Ala Moana, where this is ample parking and it's overall a central location for everyone to meet up in town. They allow walk-ins but you can also book a reservation ahead of time on the phone or via OpenTable for peace of mind. You also have the option of being seated inside or outside on the terrace; I recommend outside seating if it's late afternoon/early evening to avoid the sun at its hottest. There's a variety of soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and other entrees available, as well as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings. I was a bit sad to see that my favorite item from this place is no longer on the menu (we will miss you, Panko Chicken salad!), but there's still other menu items that I enjoy here. My friend and I split the Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza and each got our own appetizer. The pizza was yummy and filling enough that we had leftovers, and the shredded basil pieces were on the larger side, which I appreciate on a pizza. She ordered the Tomato and Burrata salad and had no issues with it, and I ordered the lobster bisque in a cup (my other favorite item on this menu, no complaints here!). For dessert, we also split items and got both the Strawberry Shortcake (a dessert special) and the Chocolate Brownie Sundae. The cake for the Strawberry Shortcake had more of a scone texture that made it a little harder to break off on the top layer of cake, but I did like the strawberries. As for the Chocolate Brownie Sundae, the chocolate that came on the side in the cup was really thick. Like, thick enough that when you tip the cup over to pour it onto the ice cream you need to give it a couple shakes or use your spoon to get it out. The two desserts balanced each other out because of their different taste profiles and my friend and I agreed it was better we ordered both instead of just one. The service here has consistently been great and I've always had a good experience here because the servers are so pleasant. I've also tried other items on the menu over the years that I'd recommend, including the mushroom ravioli, Roma tomato soup, and their Moscow mules.

In and out real quick. Got a lunch res for ruscello on the 4th of July. Was promptly seated and attended to. We ordered the ginger sesame salad and the Nordstrom burger and French dip. I upgraded to the truffle fries and the sauce for that was actually a better dip than the French dip. *I recommend doing what I did. The ambiance is nice, probably a good spot for evening drinks on a clear cool night in town.

I haven't been back to Ruscello in a long time. We ate dinner here on Sunday afternoon at 4. It was a nice time since they weren't very busy, the sun wasn't shinning in our faces until the end of the meal, and the food came out fast. I got the lavender drink with soda and lemon. It was very floral which was a nice treat. We ordered the brusselsprouts to share. The crispy brusselsprouts with chicken sausage and spicy peppers were delicious. I don't suggest eating a pepper though since it can really choke you up. I usually order the mushroom ravioli but this time I ordered their Caesar salad with wild prawns. I wish they left the baby gem lettuce whole but halved top to bottom since that is what really makes for great presentation. It felt like a normal Caesar salad with the cut lettuce pieces. The prawns were a little translucent for me and could have used a bit more flavor. I also wish there was more dressing since a lot of my pieces had none so I didn't eat all the lettuce. Service was good. Didn't feel like we were left to our own when it was empty. It did start to pick up when we left around 6. Parking - FREE and plentiful! Such a plus here in Hawaii. The structure parking for Nordstrom is tricky because I thought parking on the 3rd floor would take us to the right level to walk across to the mall and was incorrect. Park towards piikoi on the 4th floor to take the skywalk to the entrance of Norstrom instead of the middle by Bloomingdale's.

Excellent service from Cameron! First time here for lunch and will certainly be back. We had the bacon and egg pizza and "fresh roasted turkey" and avocado club sandwich with fries. Food came out fast and it was delicious!

Nice and relaxing dinner with a very pretty view. Ruscello is kinda of hidden on the 3rd floor of Nordstrom. I never knew about this place till my partner brought it up to me and we decided to check it out (he has previously dined here already). We were quickly seated outside per our request. The view was great especially with the timing of the eventual sunset during our meal. It took me a while to decide on what to order despite their small menu (although they seem to have a monthly type of "special" menu with about 4 additional items) and I decided on the mushroom ravioli. I added on chicken (4/5oz for $8), another option was to add 5 pieces of shrimp for $12. For the specifics of the foods we ordered: - Chicken Tacos: Very disappointing for me. 7.5/10 for my partner and only a 4/10 for me. Not very flavorful and just unexciting overall, especially with how much the waiter made it out to seem. Not her fault though, everyone has their preferences of course. It just tastes bland and overpowered by the fried corn tortilla shell flavor. The waiter was very nice and inquired about the tacos which I said was good as I didn't have the heart to tell her that it wasn't to my liking. - Mushroom Ravioli: 8.75/10 Loved this, wish it already came with a protein as I feel like without the addition of such, it seems a bit plain/ minimal. They should definitely at least advertise/ state the option of adding proteins and the costs to avoid the hesitation of having to inquire about it (as well as cost as the waiter wasn't even sure when I asked her). Otherwise, delicious and very creamy. Would order again and recommend! Flank Steak: ?/10 My partner ordered this but of course I had to have a bite. It was good, just not enough food for him even after the tacos but at least it made sure that he had room for dessert (and some of my pasta). Didn't stand out to me but steak is always good, just not mind blowing for me as its flavor profile is usually similar to one another. Chocolate Brownie Sundae: 6/10 My partner was HYPING this up for me, and as someone who has huge tooth I was quite excited. HOWEVER, it was felt slightly like wasted potential. The brownie was definitely stale or old, as someone who frequently bakes, it feels like it's been sitting in the fridge for at least a few days. The edges were hard and almost crumbly, they did heat it up though, so the center was warm and slightly fudgey which was a good combination with the vanilla gelato. The chocolate sauce on the side, which I can not tell what it is, is very thick? It refused to pour out of the little cup it came in and I had to use a spoon to dig it out which was quite unsatisfying. I said it tasted interesting and my partner said it seems to be made out of powder mixed with a liquid (milk/water) (unsure if that is true I hope it is not) but I was pretty taken a back and left it untouched after that. The experience was mediocre. I personally wouldn't be too eager to come back again unless someone else insists, either to have the ravioli again, try something else, or maybe even just for the view.

Here for lunch, NEYSA was our server - she was fantastic! I love Ruscello's and recommend it always..... I gotta go back to work now,

I'm glad I made reservations via Open Table because the restaurant was almost at capacity on a Wednesday at 11:30 am. Our server was friendly and efficient. The interior reminds me of the Mariposa at Neiman Marcus. We were pleasantly surprised that our food arrived quickly. Sandwiches can come with fries or a salad. My friend has a healthy influence on me so I ordered the salad. If I had come here with my family I would have had the fries. LOL!! I'm looking forward to coming back with my family the next time.

It's inside the Ala Moana Nordstrom. We sat outside and enjoyed the ocean views. My friend, who retired from Nordstrom, treated me to lunch. She opted for the kids salmon plate and I decided to follow her lead. It was the right amount of food and the salmon was cooked well. Our server was friendly and funny, making the experience that much better.

It's been a while since I've last dined here and the service, food, and atmosphere were still just as good as I remembered. Whenever I came I always had their ginger panko crusted chicken salad, but they no longer have that on the menu. Instead they've renamed it to a Honey Dijon Cobb salad without the panko chicken. I like that they offer pretty good protein options (steak, roasted chicken, shrimp, salmon, or roasted cauliflower) to go with it. I got mines with the roasted cauliflower and it was delicious! All the fresh ingredients mixed really well with the dressing. I also shared the shrimp scampi pizza with my friend and that was really good too. It had a pretty good amount of shrimp on it and the crust was super crispy! I also recommend their portabella mushroom ravioli. This restaurant is definitely still one of my favorites in Ala Moana! Will be coming back more often :)

I used to always go to the Nordstrom Cafe for the tomato bisque. Russell has definitely up their game compared to what it was prior. Wait time was not too long even without reservations. They do however do reservations through open table. I love this place as an intimate lunch spot for a small group of people though there was a party of 12 that had some kind of shower which I imagine was really nice. Food is made to perfection, there wasn't anything we didn't like.
